4. Disruption of the HCII gene in miceEmbryonic stem cells were injected into C57Bl/6 blastocysts and implanted into pseudopregnant females. The resulting chimeric males were crossed with wild-type C57Bl/6 females to produce F1 offspring. Heterozygous HCII+/- mice were crossed to produce HCII-deficient mice.
