Normal human plasma was supplemented with monoclonal IgG or Fab fragments at the final concentrations indicated, and clotting was initiated by addition of an equal volume of 10 nM thrombin. The data represent the average of duplicate determinations.
With both antibody preparations, the thrombin time reached a plateau at about twice the control value. The half-maximal effect occurred in the presence of ~20 nM IgG or ~50 nM Fab.
