8. aPTT of inhibitor-depleted plasmaThe IgG prolonged the aPTT of both HCII-depleted plasma and antithrombin-depleted plasma to an extent similar to that of parent plasma (i.e., the plasma prior to immunodepletion).
Therefore, prolongation of the aPTT by the monoclonal IgG does not require the presence of either antithrombin or HCII. By contrast, prolongation of the thrombin time requires the presence of antithrombin in plasma (see panel 5).
